How To Get Started Using MP3Masher.com
So you’ve registered and now you want to get started. You can use Mp3Masher to create an MP3 song from our library of original beats, drums, baselines and more OR you can upload your own original music and MP3s to you’re My Music library and mix and mash them together with our library of tracks. Once you have synched them, adjusted the volume output for each track line, then you can save the finished song as an MP3 to you’re music Library (folder). From the Library link/tab you can preview, listen to, delete and even SAVE your MP3s to your computer. From your computer you can upload and listen to your newly created MP3 in any MP3 player.
Here are the steps:
- Click on the “MASH” link.
- If you so desire, upload MP3 songs to your music Library. These songs can be used to mix and mash together. You are restricted to songs that are under 6MB in file size. If you try and upload something bigger than that, then you will get an error message. Additionally, you only get 50MBs of total Library storage space. So you will only be able to upload a maximum of nine (9) 6MB songs. However, if you upload small songs, then you will have room to upload more than 9 songs. If you exceed your 50MB library storage capacity, then you will get an error message. You will have to save and/or delete older MP3s or songs form your Library.
- Get back into the Masher tool (click MASH).
- View your Library tracks by clicking the “My Music” folder. View our library of original tracks by clicking into any of the various folders. There are seven (7) different folders to choose from. They contain loops, baselines, percussions, and other sound bites, beats, etc.
- Preview any track by clicking the > play button.
- Drag & Drop – Once you’ve selected clips you want to use, you can choose to drag and drop any sound clip into any of the eight (8) TRACK lines in the player/masher.
- Removing a Clip/Song – Roll your mouse over the clip you wish to delete/remove from the Track. You then Shift+Click to remove the clip.
- Mixing Tracks – You can mix or layer clips on top of each other by placing them into separate Tracks and then dragging them along the Track line until they start at a point in the track timeline that you want.
- Adjusting Track Volume – You can adjust the volume of any individual track so that it is louder than or softer than the other tracks. This allows you to take a song recorded at a higher range and bring it down to the recorded volume level of other clips or to lower it is a quieter background clip.
- Right/Left – rarely used, you can adjust the left to right balance on any Track.
- Overlapping Clips in a Track – you cannot overlay or overlap clips/songs in any Track. They can only be dragged and dropped next to each other in a Track line. To overlap songs/clips you need to place them into separate Track lines.
- Preview and Tweak – Once you have finished dragging all clips into their desired Tracks, you can click the > PLAY button in the player to preview your song. There is also a LOOP button, so that you can repeat the MP3 after it finishes. You can STOP and then drag the red track line to any point in the MP3 to start your play back from that point. You can adjust any clip/song within the Track lines to perfect overlay and synching of sound elements/clips.
- SAVING – once you are satisfied with your final MP3, click the “save MP3” red RECORD button in the player. Name the MP3 and then you will find it in your Library.
- Enjoy making your sweet mashes!
